Good bye- Zen!

Finally, after 15 years of selfless services to our family, our lovely beloved cute little Zen Astello has bid farewell. 

Thank you Zen for taking us across the whole of Kerala, For more than 1 lakh kilometres safely and comfortably!! 

During your entire life, there have never been  a situation, that you caused us trouble and stayed standstill on the road not following our instructions!! 

You taught us to move forward in lives, through the ups and downs on the roads; you taught us to steer our lives through the potholes of difficulties; you also taught us to shift gears when the energy was low; you gave confidence in life when we needed to overtake some of our difficult situations!! 

We together have weathered storms in lives..! 

You must have listened to all our stories, secrets, and every little discussion! You were an absolute part of our lives!  

We tried to take good care you all the times, however if there have been any gaps, please forgive us!  

We may also have caused some bruises and scratches on you, please be assured they were not intentional! 

Please remember we always liked you for your efficiency. 

Every good things have to come to an end!!

89 Class Artificers and the ‘Get-Together Saga’ I belong to this wonderful group of people from pan India; Simply we are known as 89- That’s it! We are the 89 th class of Artificers who joined the Indian Navy as Apprentices in Jan 1987. Since then, we together have completed training, active service and eventually retired after completing the contracted defense service period.   Originally, we were 225- but now reduced to 214; missing 11 have left for heavenly abode earlier than expected. Out of the 214, few are non-reachable as they have ‘deserted’ from Navy long back, and lost their whereabouts, sadly! Much later to our retirement and thanks to the social media revolution, we started communicating with each other, again through various platforms. We have rebuilt our connections on the strong foundation of our once existed emotionally bonded relations. Many of our friends resurfaced from their seclusion and stopped being ‘incommunicado’!   89 Class Artificers and the ‘Get-Together Saga’ - Part 3. On 30 th Aug, by noon time, the 'supposedly' air-conditioned bus reached the accommodation to transport us to Araku Valley. It will pass through the Airport to pick up the last group. Journey to Araku Valley is incredibly picturesque, offering stunning views along the way- if only, someone has peeped through the windows!   The road is filled with numerous hairpin bends   which add a sense of adventure to the trip. The weather was wonderfully pleasant and ‘sexy’. Occasional fog and the light drizzles frequently occurred should have added a refreshing touch to the atmosphere—  As the 'charging' continued on the bus, too, everyone was engaged! The driver made sure that no one slept, by sudden breaks and frequent bumps and jumps! Nothing could pour water on to the fun on the run! – even the leaking roof of the bus!    Fun on the Run!
