My Own Football World Cup - Day 4 - 23 Nov 2022

Day 4 - 23 Nov 2022 Match  between my favorite nation and my favorite footballing nation Japan Vs Germany Stadium: Khalifa International Stadium Japanese are the best and most respectable and responsible fans! It was fascinating to see them coming with trash bags and cleaning up their premises before they leave. They left so happily because they caused another big upset of the Word Cup, coming back from 1 goal down in first half to 2 late goals! I was happy for them, honestly.  German team made headlines with their protest of covering their faces during the team photo session, which i felt was uncalled for!   I used the metro to reach the station; Awesome vibes at the station With the Musicians on the fan-zone! What a vibe at the metro stations: its all celebrations, music and dance!         This time I got the best of the seat; so very close to the ground!

My own Football World Cup

My own Football World Cup- Qatar 2022!!! November 2022 marked a historic moment as Qatar hosted one of the greatest World Cups ever! As a resident of Qatar since January 2023, this event was something I had eagerly anticipated. Reflecting back to 1982, when black-and-white TVs began broadcasting World Cup matches, I vividly remember walking miles to the Santhosh Kala Samithi at Pirayiri just to watch the final. Since then, I’ve never missed a single live broadcast of a World Cup football match! Having the opportunity to witness the FIFA World Cup in the host country was truly a once-in-a-lifetime blessing, and I made the most of it. I was fortunate to secure tickets for almost every day of the tournament, except the Final and the second Semi-Final. Additionally, I had the pleasure of hosting several family members and friends from India and Singapore.  One of my proudest achievements was attending two matches on the same day, hopping between stadiums. How many football fans can boast o

On this Vijay Diwas, the 25th Anniversary of the Kargil victory, the Nation pays tribute to the brave soldiers who exhibited extraordinary courage and resilience in extremely challenging conditions on the Kargil Sector.  527 brave sons of Mother India made their supreme sacrifice for Her honor!   Hundreds were injured, many with permanently disabling injuries. I take this opportunity to pray for them, thank them for what they did for the Country and future generations, and salute them from the bottom of my heart.   The Kargil War Memorial, also known as Dras War Memorial, is a war memorial built by the Indian Army in the town of Dras, near Kargil city in Kargil district of Ladakh, India, commemorating the 1999 Kargil War between India and Pakistan.
